Korstmos is a VR experience about boundaries and social isolation. We follow the protagonist Dalwin de Paauw over a period of approximately 23 minutes, precisely the time it takes for his groceries to be delivered. Dalwin is a man who rarely leaves his apartment and has no friends. We see him peeping at his neighbor and feeding his fish, all within the tiny universe of his social housing apartment. And when your life is so small, every little thing becomes significant. We face the dread of the upcoming encounter with the grocery delivery guy together with Dalwin, with impending doom.

Korstmos explores the frames that define life and the frames within the inherently frame-less medium of VR. With music and sound design by Robin Kester.

As a living embodiment of data, Ian is a volumetric shaped delivery boy of spam e-mail in a cloud-based town. It's a monotonous existence, complicated by the disdain the local avatars have for him, seeing him as an outsider who doesn’t belong in their town.

When he collects an important e-mail that shouldn’t have ended up in the spam folder, Ian decides to keep the document for himself. Realizing its value for finding a way out of his alienated town.

The senders of the e-mail try to do everything to get the e-mail back. But during this cat and mouse game the unbounded possibilities of the cloud will unfold in favour of Ian’s questions about his origin.
